Chinese-based Qudoor Quantum Garners 50 million Yuan –$7.8 Million U.S. — in Angel Round Financing

Angel groups invested about $7.8 million U.S. in Qike Quantum, a Chinese quantum startup.

Chinese media is reporting that quantum communication startup Qike Quantum received 50 million yuan in an Angel financing round.

Investors include Zhongguancun Development Frontier Fund, Zhongguancun Gold Seed Fund, along with other unnamed investors.

According to sources, this round of financing will be used for the company’s two business directions: research and development and mass production of new generation of miniaturized quantum communication equipment. The company also plans further research into 100-bit ion trap quantum computer.

The company is based in Haidian District, Beijing.

According to its website, the company was established in January 2019. It is considered one of China’s first high-tech firms focused on its independent core technology and product development capabilities in the fields of quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum sensing.

Qike Quantum was founded by international quantum information experts and scientists with 20 years of experience in the fields of quantum communication and quantum computing. Together with the outstanding leadership team, they bring rich and diverse experience and skills to the company. The company focuses on research, development, Operate products, standards and services based on quantum information processing technology.

Qike Quantum sees its products serving customers and clients in a number of industries, including military, government, finance, telecommunications and power that require high-security communications. It also considers organizations in transportation, medicine, new energy and meteorology as potential clients.
